Well now that the season is upon us and we are well underway with lots of cricket played. That’s what I originally had down to start off this season but it didn’t quite start like that !! We are now into the fifth week of the cricket season and the firsts have only played one game, the seconds haven’t faired much better only playing two and a half games. The weather has done us no favours but I think that’s down to a certain Australian joining the ranks. On to more important matters. The pictures of players in

this first article are the two latest additions to the playing members. The first picture (left) is of our overseas pro Malcolm Serplett (sorry about the Malcolm, Mal) who posted a score of 75 on his first outing. The second picture (above) is of Mo Arif who also got 34 against Shrewsbury. It would be harsh of me to leave out other new arrivals to the Perkins playing staff such as Dave Elcock (now playing in Portugal), Steve Wilderspin, Sultan |
and Imran. All I can say is I hope you all have a good season and that you all play to the best of your abilities, I feel we can ask for no more. The Editor.

Special points of interest: May has officially been classified as the wettest month on record since 1856. Perkins first team has officially been announced as the heaviest team in the premier division. Garry Williams is not really made of LEGO. |
